Yoga classes in Northport, WA

Classes start on May17th, 2021.

10:00 - 11:15 All Levels welcomed to attend.

We will meet at the park above the boat launch.

Please bring your mat, block, strap and a blanket.

Cost for class is $5.

Colville classes start May 4th, 2021

So happy to be teaching. A couple students from the college found a new location for us to meet. 

A nice big open room with all the privacy we need to lay out our mats and stretch. 

 All safety precautions will be followed including: face masks, disinfecting, distance/space and temperature readings.

Class size will also be small, 10 students in each group. Eventually these all will change. 

Until then, we can gather, rest and focus on the rejuvenation that we need. 

As a reminder: please bring your own yoga mat, block, strap 

and a small blanket to use during class.


Classes are held at the First Congregational Church on:

205 N. Maple Street

~Monthly sign-up with payment is required.

~Only one class is allowed per student at this time.

~$5 per class plus a $5 monthly donation to the church.

Class Descriptions

Slow and Gentle Chair Yoga - Is your body feeling stiff or painful? Have you lost strength, flexibility, and agility? This class uses props to safely achieve each position comfortably. The class is held at a slower pace and focuses on increasing your strength and flexibility while releasing stress and tension from the joints and muscles.  Ideal for those who have physical limitations, injuries, lack flexibility or have challenges with strength and balance. Michelle is an expert at tailoring each posture to your unique body to make the experience safe and enjoyable.  No prior yoga experience is necessary. ( All ages )

 

Mindful Endurance and Strength and Stillness - This class introduces the basic principles of alignment and technique while slowly stretching and strengthening the body with the use of props. We emphasis the hamstrings, hips, shoulders and spine with a focus on standing poses.  As you refine the basics class will include the practice of the Sun Salutations.  ( All ages )

 

Restorative Yoga - Restorative yoga is a powerful way to calm the mind, body and emotions. Each restorative yoga class focuses on 5 to 6 postures while the participant is completely supported and resting to allow slow, passive stretching and deep relaxation. Through the use of props, each pose is held longer to calm and restore balance to our bodies, minds and emotions. No prior experience necessary. ( All ages )
